Prof. Prašnikar is a president of PKP programme board, which serves as a communication platform for academic and business community members and deals with important economic and social issues. Research group gives special attention to selected research topic and its relevance for Slovenian enterprises. Papers published in established international journals were presented at the conference in their initial phase. Round tables host established practitioners from domestic and foreign firms, academics, and politicians. 600-800 participants come to the conference mainly from CEE.

The influence of CSR on consumers’ willingness to pay was found to be weaker than prior studies suggested. Moreover, the findings of the study reveal that the validity of the model can be extended to both subsample where CSR is well established (Germany) and subsample where CSR is still developing (Slovenia).

COBISS.SI-ID: 19362022Sončni vrt company is entering the slovenian organic food market with locally grown vegetables (lettuce, peppers, and cucumbers) from the region of Prekmurje. Majority of these vegetables, consumed in Slovenia, are imported from other countries and traditionally produced. Members of the team conducted extensive market study, which covered nearly 1000 consumers through structural interviews. Study reveals significant possibilities of buying “green” alternative products. They are better quality, better testing and fresher.
