Faculty of Economics at University of Ljubljana is a partner in a project that aims to offer financial and high quality credit scoring information of Croatian companies. Clients will benefit from this reliable business tool as it will help them improve their risk management, which is of particular importance in the times of volatile economic conditions. Clients will save on time and costs, increase their productivity and optimize search and credit verification of their business partners. The benefits from FINESSENCE project have been recognized by EUREKA in 2010, while the cooperation agreements have been signed in 2011. Financial support for the project is also provided by the governments of Republic of Croatia and Republic of Slovenia. Partners in the project are Faculty of Economics at University of Ljubljana, B2, d.o.o., 3Sigma, d.o.o. (both from Ljubljana), EL-koncept, d.o.o. (lead partner) and BSS, d.o.o. (both from Zagreb). On behalf of Faculty of Economics, dr. Igor Lončarski and dr. Aleš Berk Skok (head of the project at FELU) will develop and optimize applied credit scoring model based on companies' financial and accounting data.

The authors describe the key characteristics of the proposed reforms, their envisaged effects as well as the consequences of rejection in referendum. The report is a part of a wider scientific, professional and public contributions of several research group members to the problems related to structural reforms in Slovenia.
