Its content follows the latest knowledge of historiographyand curriculum for the fourth year of high school. The text is divided into three fundamental, obligatorysections, which cover an overview of international and Slovenian history in the last century, and four optional chapters, dealing with human rights, migrations, development of science and society and changes in daily life. The textbook is designed to deepen and consolidate historical knowledge and, at the same time, trying to meet the needs for additional study material. In addition to basic text,it contains illustrations, maps, graphs, charts, time lines and other devices.With numerous excerpts from historical sources and literature it wants to encourage the students to critical thinking and to formtheir own view of history and its connection to the present.
