We have explored the influence of excitation pulse sequence on the intensities of NQR resonance lines of explosive TNT. The results will help to improve the performance of explosive detector.

We have developed low frquency (0.1 - 15 MHz) NQR spectrometer. Our device is more flexible than the spectrometers, available on the market, and enables us to develop new types of NQR measurement rapidly.

We present two novel approaches to the N-14 nuclear quadrupole resonance transition excitation: stochastic excitation and Carr-Purcel-like train excitation with frequency swept pulses. The advantages onf the novel methods are reduction of the necessary power of the excitation pulses and broadband excitation.
