Spectroscopy in scintillation detectors with low dead times and extremely high count rates is of key importance in industrial tomography methods, medical measurements in the regime of radiotherapy fields, as well as in analytic methods with photons and particles in the research of new materials.

COBISS.SI-ID: 23481895In scintillation spectroscopy the count rates are approaching the regimes of fundamentally or inherently saturated rates near the information-theoretical upper limit. With our research we have moved the spectroscopy in these regimes in the immediate vicinity of this limit.
