An application of Gaussian process models for smoothing and interpolation in medicine is given in the paper. Process data described cortical activity measured by Near Infrared Spectroscopy. These data is processed and the map of cortical activity is generated which is then comparred with maps obtained with other methods.

COBISS.SI-ID: 23482663An application of algorithm for the parallel processing of Gaussian process models' training on a multicore graphic unit for personal computer is shown in the paper. This training is accelerated a few times in comparison with conventional processor computing due to multicore use and algorithm adaptation which improves efficiency and applicability of the training algorithm.
