This article examines the ways of translating French detached construction into Slovenian, based on the example extracted from a French-Slovenian parallel corpus of journalistic and literary texts. The analysis confirms our hypothesis about the explicitation of syntactic and semantic elements in Slovenian translations and opens questions which need to be further explored.
