The discovery of the topic itself is the first important recognition of the monograph, as this thematic had not yet been researched in a systematic and comparative manner, neither in Slovenia nor elsewhere in the world. The author drew attention to similarity and difference in literary representations of temptation in the story of Adam and Eve, Joseph of Egypt, Faust and Lovely Vida. Especially important is the recognition that the Lovely Vida motif, though widespread over the entire European Mediterranean space, only became a central symbol in Slovenia.

A significant result of the research was the scientific explaining of the linguistic and cultural reasons for changes in transliteration of biblical proper names in European languages and cultures. The general reason is due to the phonetic differences among Hebrew, Greek and Latin; the specific reason is the greater influence of Greek and Latin had on the development of European culture, compared to that of Hebrew. In connection with well-known names, however, also the cultural surroundings, which determine their own traditions, played an important role regarding the phonetics of names.
