At this scientific conference with more than 1,000 participants, we have reported on the latest trends in the synthesis of metal nanomaterials with oxygen plasma. A special emphasis was focused to our own contribution in this field. We have presented a new hypothesis on the influence of the flux of oxygen atoms to the treated surface and the surface temperature on the synthesis of metal nanoparticles. Such nanoparticles are used also in our project for the synthesis of composite particles.

COBISS.SI-ID: 23596583At this international vacuum conference, which is covering different scientific topics, I was Co-chair of the Programme Committee of the section “Plasma science and technology”. Furthermore, we had also two presentations: presentation of a method for the synthesis of metal nanoparticles by non-equilibrium oxygen plasma, and the presentation about plasma functionalization of polymers for improved adhesion of protein streptavidin (which is used in immunological test) to the plasma-treated polymer surface. The results presented in both contributions were performed within this project.
