The article gives recommendations for the nutrition healthy full-term infants during the first year of life. Breastfeeding is the most natural and ideal way of feeding infants from birth to at least one year of age. Three periods are described: a) exclusive breastfeeding (the first 6 months), b) introduction of additional (complementary, mixed, solid) foods not before the 17th and not after 26th weeks of infant’s age, and c) the transition to the customized family food from the 10th month onward. The article represents an important educational text.
