Folklore portraits of three centuries: from baroque to Slovenian moderna

In terms of paremiology the most important linguist and lexicographer Anton Murko (with proverbs in his Dictionary and Grammar) and Viljem Urbas (the first researcher of Slovenian proverbs, who made sistematic classification). Besides them there are also articles about 16 authors (by chronological order: Janez V. Valvazor, Janez Svetokriški, Marko Pohlin, Urban Jarnik, Peter Danjko, Anton M. Slomšek, Matevž Ravnikar-Poženčan, Stanko Vraz, Emil Korytko, Janez Trdina, Matija Valjavec, Gregor Krek, Stanislav Škrabec, Gašper Križnik, Simon Rutar, Karel Štrekelj) who also included Slovenian proverbs in their folkloric or broader-based philological work, primarily as a material with some reflections about them.
