Scientists manipulate matter at the atomic level, but relatively little is known about the potential health and environmental effects of the tiny particles -- just atoms wide and small enough to easily penetrate cells in lungs, brains and other organs. Or not? Four scientists explain their scientific approaches in the nanoparticle research and their views on the safety issue of nanomatter. http://www.rtvslo.si/odprtikop/ugriznimo-v-znanost/nevarnost-nanodelcev/ RTV Slovenija 1; 2012; Avtorji / Authors: Drobne Damjana, Remškar Maja, Iskra Ivan, Kristl Julijana

COBISS.SI-ID: 2569039The combination of scanning electron microscopy and x-ray analyses allow to investigate interactions between physical interactions between nano-fibres and epithelial cells. The scanning electron microscopy allows careful investigation of the surface, while x-ray analysis is appropriate for elemental analyses of any selected structure on the surface. This method is well suited for analyses of interactions of any epithelia and nano-fibres containing metals.
