Supply chain management and logistics are crucial for many businesses. Therefore, we enriched the knowledge of the project on a project / case study for one of the leading Slovenian logistics companies Post of Slovenia. The project included the collaboration with the client with whom we prepared a draft of business process management rules, conducted training on business process modelling and defined all business processes of the Post of Slovenia. Then we created a snapshot of the existing situation, which consisted of counseling, recording and modeling of existing processes with the selected software tool. The existing situation was analyzed in terms of appropriateness, effectiveness and reliability of the implementation process. On this basis, we designed the improvements and changes in design processes. We also prepared a proposal for measuring the efficiency of business processes. We have produced a draft model of process organization.

COBISS.SI-ID: 20457958Supplier risk management (SRM) leaders view SRM as an investment not a cost. They have well established and funded supplier risk management organization. They are also aware of SRM importance across the organization and have employees from different departments actively collaborating in the SRM process. Finally, they have a proactive supplier risk management approach and were not often surprised by risk events. In this research we found it is all in how you look at SRM. The leaders clearly look at SRM as an opportunity, an investment. The followers look at it as a cost, or a problem, something to be eliminated. Our research clearly shows a statistically significant difference on this point between leaders and followers. The research report presents the results from an extensive global study. The paper based on this study is currently under review in an international journal.
