At an invited lecture at a foreign university, we have discussed the preparation and properties of PMN-PT and PSN-PT thick films on Al2O3 substrate. The lecture was concluded with an example of application of thick films in sensors and actuators.

Very good functional properties were discussed in correlation with structural and microstructural properties of ceramics.

COBISS.SI-ID: 25923111Good quality Pb(Sc0.5Nb0.5)O3 (PSN) ceramics was prepared from a mechanochemically activated powder. We sintered the ceramics at 1000°C, which is a few hundred degrees lower than the previously reporteddata for the sintering temperature of PSN ceramics. At a temperature of 1000 °C we were able to obtain PSN ceramics with 98 % of theoretical density, which showed good dielectric and ferroelectric properties.
