Commercial value of non-wood forest products is increasing and in some cases can be equal or even surpass commercial value of timber. Therefore, initiative arose for assessment of potential yield (production) of commercial wild mushrooms in Slovenia. We developed empirical models for 27 commercial wild mushrooms. The models are spatial and their resolution is 1 × 1 km, assessment for potential production is given in kg × year–1. We verified model accuracy with data from central database for fungi in Slovenia Boletus informaticus. The models accuracy was between 60.6 % and 99.2 %. Potential productivity of all commercial wild mushrooms was 2,869–37,800 ton/year, in average 12,169 ton/year. Potential commercial value of wild mushrooms were 263–527 €/ha. Overall commercial value for all chosen commercial wild mushrooms was 91–182 million €/year on average. At the end, we discuss possible improvements of models for assessment of potential production of wild mushrooms.
