COBISS.SI-ID: 277076736The members of the research program organised a successful international conference and summer school entitled "Monolith Summer School and Symposum, MSS 2014". The topic of bienal event is related to monolith technology for biochromatography, bioconversion and solid-phase synthesis, which took place in Portorož in May and June 2014.
B.01 Organiser of a scientific meeting
COBISS.SI-ID: 3492603Process Analytical Technology (PAT) concept for downstream processing of biological molecules was presented in the lecture. Monolithic analytical columns used for fast inprocess and final control of varios biomolecules was discussed.

COBISS.SI-ID: 4483704The aim of the operation or the project is to strengthen the development departments in the companies. The main goal of the project is the cofounding of young researchers in the companies, to employ young people that have just finished the studies, to employ experts from Slovenia and to employ unemployed people. In our project we employed 3 new people, all of them were young job seekers. With the help of new employees and two additional researches we will work on the development of new applications using existed CIM products and the testing of products in development for various target applications.
D.08 Management and development of research activities
We organised a workshop lasting several days for a group of awarded Italian students who participated in educational training in Slovenian educational and economic institutions. The workshop included lectures and practical exercises in laboratories of BIA Separations in Ajdovščina. The topic of the workshop was the intruduction of monolithic chromatography for the separation of biological macromolecules. Activities that were included in this project , enabled students to: 1. enrich their cultural background; 2. obtain a " professional " experience; 3. the acquisition of intercultural work experience.
