Patent application is based on projects results obtained during experiments when we tried to introduce large bacteriophage DNA into bacterial cells. Described technique is a novel approach in production of DNA vaccines.
F.10 Improvements to an existing technological process or technology
In invited lecture we presented concepts and importance of virus analytics in production processes as well as technology development trends, covered also by this project, to international community.
B.04 Guest lecture
Increasing number of campylobacter infections resulted in intensive search for alternative methods to control contamination with this bacteria. Bacteriophages are one of them, but a few limitations of their use were identified and were presented in this talk. Studies regarding phage isolation, characterization, stability and production of Campylobacter bacteriophages were addressed.
F.18 Transfer of new know-how to direct users (seminars, fora, conferences)
Methods for specific quantification of bacteriophage BF25/12 and based on qPCR and ddPCR were presented. Methods will be used for in process control during production and for monitoring during application of bacteriophage.
