We analyze the data about works (papers, books) from the time period 1990-2010 that are collected in Zentralblatt MATH database. The data were converted into four 2-mode networks (works and authors, works and journals, works and keywords, and works and mathematical subject classifications) and into a partition of works by publication year. We explore the distributions of some properties of works and the collaborations among mathematicians, and we also take a closer look at the characteristics of the field of graph theory as were realized with the publications. Algorithms are usefull in other cases of network analysis (finances, logistics, social networks etc.)

The contribution into the Encyclopedia of Social Network Analysis and Mining is an overview of the state-of-the art regarding the software tools for (social) network analysis. Tools are grouped according to the scope they address and compared between each other. An overview of the trends is presented as well.

This paper presents a non-contact method for velocity field calculation from a series of images containing illuminated planar layer of fluid with a pollutant mixed in. Velocity field is calculated using a model similar to optical flow based on the advection-diffusion equation. The model which was also implemented into our software, ADMflow, is evaluated on different sets of synthetic images. Calculated velocity fields are in a good agreement with the true velocity fields, mostly deviating by less than 10 % in magnitude and 1° in flow direction.
