Maximum 3 awards are given each year for all fields.
E.01 National awards
In June 2015, Ravnik was an invited speaker at the Gordon Research Conference 2011: Liquid Crystals, Massachusetts, USA, with the talk “Fractal and Quasi-Crystalline Nematic Colloids for Photonics”. . At the 2013 Gordon conference (the Liq. Cryst. Gordon conference takes place every 2-years) he was invited session chairman. Gordon conferences are the most resonant conferences from the top-edge research topics of various fields of science, where most recent and typically even unpublished research results are presented.
