The object of the work is reduction of physical strain of the workers relocating the mobile stands on the marketplace. We achieved this by designing the devices for lifting and transportation of stands. We determined the basic driving properties and the required cargo securing for the crane-equipped cargo vehicle used for the stand transport. We designed a fixture device for suspending a stand from the crane, determined the crane work area and designed a separate device for manual short-distance transport of stands. We prepared the technical documentation for all the devices that were designed.

COBISS.SI-ID: 14306331Post-thrombotic syndrome represents the most common late sequel of deep venous thrombosis (DVT). In some patients with acute proximal DVT and low bleeding potential, local thrombolysis can provide rapid vein recanalisation and can therefore lower the risk of post-thrombotic syndrome. In recent years, catheter-directed thrombolysis proved to be effective and safe procedure, with lower incidence of bleeding complications compared to systemic thrombolysis.

COBISS.SI-ID: 2226348Based on the statistical data and analyses, we found that driving with a reduced following distance is a common cause of traffic accidents. Based on the identified problem, we designed a concept device that helps maintain a safe following distance and, consequently, increases the safety of drivers and passengers. From this concept, we derived a prototype that alerts drivers behind if the distance to the preceding vehicle is less than specified. The prototype which used a radar system to measure the exact distance between the two vehicles was tested in a real driving environment. Test results were analysed and evaluated.

COBISS.SI-ID: 14227739The knowledge about the diffuse axonal injury (DAI) as a clinicopathological entity has matured in the last 30 years. In this rewiev, we are pointing to the significant characteristics of DAI as a distinct clinicopathological entity that can cause severe impairment of the brain function, and in the forensic medicine setting, it can be found as the concrete cause of death.

COBISS.SI-ID: 32264921In this study we analyzed CPR-related skeletal chest injuries (SCI) of 2148 patients who had undergone resuscitation for non-traumatic cardiac arrest, in the period 2004-2013. The percentage of patients injured and the number of SCI increased with age. Our study showed that rib and sternum fractures are much more frequent than generally considered. Increased compression rate and depth as well as changes in resuscitation guidelines contribute to the incidence and number of SCI. Human body injuries caused by mechanical load were analized, finding important rate, magnitude and age influence.
