The invention solves the technical problem of how to realize peristaltic micropump with a single piezoelectric actuator and enable compatibility with conventional single-phase drivers, while maintaining all the benefits of currently available peristaltic micropumps (simple design and fabrication, low cost, purity and reliability). The absence of valves and low operating frequency (typically around 100 Hz) prevent high fluid velocities and inhibit cavitation. Micropump according to the invention is self-priming and bubble tolerant.

COBISS.SI-ID: 10460756The invention solves micropump technical problem of how to ensure maximum flow-rate and back-pressure performance as well as maximum reliability and long-term stability at small device dimensions. Innovative central cylinder valve positioned at membrane maximum deformation point enables realization of large micropump chamber which greatly improves flow-rate and backpressure performance. Moreover, innovation increases system compression ratio which results in micropump self-priming ability and bubble tolerance.

COBISS.SI-ID: 10625108The invention solves the design and fabrication of narrowly dedicated surgical photoplethysmograph suitable for interoperative attachment above optical channel. The invention is used for non-invasive microcirculation monitoring of the optic nerve. The device’s real-time analysis of measured photoplethysmographic waveform provides a neurosurgeon a feedback about the adequacy of its mechanical manipulation of the optic nerve. By such, the invention protects patient’s vision from potential damage due to inevitable surgical procedure.
