B.01 Organiser of a scientific meeting
COBISS.SI-ID: 286449664A member of the programme group prof. dr. Dejan Križaj in 2016 gave lectures on postgraduate studies at reputable foreign university Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina - UDESC Center of Technological Sciences in Brazil. Lectures addressed important aspects of numerical simulations of electromagnetic phenomena in biomedical engineering.
B.05 Guest lecturer at an institute/university
COBISS.SI-ID: 11637076The invention solves a technical problem of improving the flowrate and back-pressure performance characteristics as well as reliability and long-term stability of micropumps. Micropump according to the invention, named vein micropump, comprises the pumping chamber, membrane, actuator and two elastomeric valves which mimic the operation of the bio-venous valves.
F.33 Slovenian patent
COBISS.SI-ID: 11342420»Commission for women in science« is an expert body of the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport. Its programme committee includes a member of programme group Dr. Urša Opara Krašovec which was the editor of the book of abstracts for 7th conference titled "Mechanisms of exploitation and discrimination in science." The conference deals with sensitive topics related to academic freedom and discrimination, sexism and the situation of female self-researchers with doctorate.
C.02 Editorial board of a national monograph
COBISS.SI-ID: 10933833In this work, design, research and fabrication of three novel types of micropumps are presented. This is a continuation of our past research on microthrottle and microcylinder pumps. By replacing microthrottle with step shaped output rectifying element, microcylider micropump performance characteristics significantly improved. Options to improve reliability of micropumps (self-priming and bubble tolerance) were discussed in detail on the case study of novel single actuator peristaltic micropump and bi-directional microcylinder pump.
