GROŠELJ, Aleš, Excellent in science – presentation of achievements from scientific field of medicine, 2.10.2017: http://www.arrs.gov.si/sl/dogodki/17/odlicni-v-znanosti-medicina.asp : It is an international, prospective, multicentre study of the treatment of skin cancer of the head and neck with electrochemotherapy. The research was conducted in the framework of the international consortium InspECT (International Network for Sharing Practices on Electrochemotherapy), part of which are the Clinic for Otorhinolaryngology and Cervicofacial Surgery and the Oncological Institute Ljubljana. The study confirmed the high efficacy and safety of electrochemotherapy treatment of skin tumors and at the same time confirmed the specificities to be taken into account when selecting patients.
B.04 Guest lecture
The Faculty of Pharmacy (project members: Albin Kristl, Jurij Trontelj and Robert Roškar) is participating in a European LIFE+ project PharmDegrade entitled DEGRADATION OF PHARMACEUTICALS IN WASTEWATERS FROM NURSING HOMES AND HOSPITALS (LIFE 13 ENV/SI/000466, september 2014-november 2016), where we are a partner organization together with the company Arhel. Our main goal within this project is development of novel sensitive analytical methods to detect and quantify pharmaceuticals in wastewater samples to support the design and implementation of new advanced oxidation wastewater treatment plant.
