Genomic diversity of Clostridium difficile strains

This paper reviews research on the field of C. difficile comparative genomics. C. difficile is currently one of the most important human and animal pathogens, but the number of sequenced completed genomes is relatively smal and use use of comparative genomics for epidemiological or phylogenetic approaches is well developed only is few countries.
