Publication of scientific paper in the top journal of physical chemistry where we report high sensitivity and potential for detection of organic vapours with plasma synthesized carbon nanowalls. The paper presents the plasma synthesis of carbon nanowalls with different spacing and their application in organic vapour sensing. We are the first to report improved sensitivity and selective detection of 2D carbon nanowalls.

The paper describes the preparation of dense arrays of gold-supported silver nanowires of about 100 nm in diameter grown directly in the channels of nanoporous aluminium oxide for the immobilisation and retention of proteins. Moreover, we demonstrate also that additional plasma treatment leads to control of nanowire morphology and retention of proteins due to plasma effect.

This review scientific paper describes the opportunities and potentials offered by plasma preparation of nanomaterial surfaces. The paper addresses the challenges and sophisticated engineering of interfaces. A special attention is paid to the plasma-based treatment and processing of bio interfaces formed with carbon nanotubes or graphene nanowalls.
