Within project European list of habitat types including 490 terrestrial habitat types with descriptions was compiled. Based on local data and IUCN criteria evaluation of particular habitats on European level was made.
D.06 Final report on a foreign/international project
COBISS.SI-ID: 41014317The most distinct forms of vegetation in the combined forest site type Larch forests, dwarf pine, green alder and other montane shrub communities are three: natural open larch (Larix decidua) forests, more or less contiguous dwarf pine (Pinus mugo subsp. mugo) communities above the upper timberline and green alder (Alnus viridis) communities at similar altitudes, but usually on moister, shady slopes.
F.17 Transfer of existing technologies, know-how, methods and procedures into practice
COBISS.SI-ID: 287380480We described methodology of preparation of distribution maps and proposed monitoring protocol of priority and minority habitat types (Natura 2000) in Slovenia

COBISS.SI-ID: 39714861Within planning of conservation measures for species diversity and priority definition of conservation of endangered species and minority habitat types and planning of protected areas we are usually lacking concise distribution data about important species and communities. Therefore maps of potential habitat suitability are useful proxy.

COBISS.SI-ID: 5003430The aim of this study is to estimate habitat suitability for selected minority forest habitat types in Slovenia based on climatic, geomorphological and lithological variables. Based on results we can predict locations of these minority habitats with higher probability, therefore we can check these locations with lower time and resource investment and perform monitoring of habitats conservation status.
