Review of modern methods for suppression of spruce bark beetles in Europe was made and recommendations for the control of bark beetles in a situation of increased populations in the context of an integrated forest protection were proposed. Opinion was drawn up at the request of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food for the Group for management of biotic balance and pests in forests, established by the Minister.
