Anton Meden were instrumental to the organization of several high-profile scientific events: - 17th Slovenian-Croatian Crystallographic Meeting (SCCM), Ptuj, Slovenia, 2008 - 19th SCCM, Strunjan, Slovenia, 2010 - 21st SCCM, Pokljuka, Slovenia, 2012 - 23rd SCCM, Logarska dolina, Slovenia 2014 - 25th SCCM, Ljubljana, Slovenia, 2017 Participating research program members: I. Počkaj (2014-ongoing) This long-running conference series, organized alternately with Croatian collegues has given junior researchers from the whole Balkan region the possibility of meeting illustrious speakers such as A. L. Spek, Z. Dauter, C. Giacovazzo and H. Flack, authors of major textbooks and legends in the field of structure determinatrion by X-ray diffraction methods. b) The following members of the research program have also been co-organizers of the following international conferences: - A. Meden was co-organizer of microsimposia within the European Powder Diffraction Conference (EPDIC-10, Geneve, 2006) - A. Meden was co-organizer of microsimposia within the XXII Intenational Congress of the International Union of Crystallography (Madrid, 2011). - I. Turel was member of the scientific board of the 2nd European Conference on Chemistry for Life Sciences (Wroclaw, Poland, 2007). - F. Perdih was a member of International Advisory Board of International Conference on "Current Challenges in Drug Discovery Research" CCDDR 2015, Jaipur, India. - J. Kljun was/is member of the organizing committee of the Cutting Edge international conference series aimed at MSc and PhD students as well as postdoc researchers of natural and engineering sciences from the Central European region (Ljubljana, 2015 and 2017).
