The patent is a result of an international student project on product development in cooperation with BSH Nazarje company. The project demonstrated the transfer and generation of knowledge in cooperation among European academic environment, engineering and design students and industry. The project results were publicly presented at the final workshop in July 2014. The event was covered also by severa main Slovenian press companies (National TV, POP TV, Dnevnik daily journal). The results were disseminated also at numerous international scientific conferences from the field of design, engineering and higher engineering education (International Conference on Engineering Design (ICED), DESIGN, International Conference on Engineering & Product Design Education (E&PDE)).

COBISS.SI-ID: 12127259The technical problem this invention is solving is the ability to spread manure backwards or sideways, in order to enable optimum fertilization of a selected surface, especially on steep terrain (characteristic for many farms in Slovenia, Austria, Italy and Switzerland). A review of the existing variants has shown that there is no machine available on the market that would enable spreading of organic manure both backwards and sideways with the same device. The device is modular and it can be attached to the existing devices that spread manure only backwards. Tests performed in according to relevant EU standards proved that the device has been one of the top-class devices on the market. The solution was presented on various domestic and foreign agricultural fairs. The solution received a golden medal for innovation on national agricultural fair AGRA (press coverage). The product is produced by a Slovenian SME.

COBISS.SI-ID: 5957147The regular mechanism does not allow inserting sheets of paper to the left side when the mechanism is open, while this is possible with the double touch lever arch mechanism. At the same time, opening and closing is always performed in a downward direction, while with the regular mechanism it is done in both directions. The mechanism became a part of regular product portfolio of a company NIKO d.o.o. Železniki, Slovenia. With the product based on the patent the company was able to enter the high-end market of stationery products (box files). Dissemination of the result was performed via specialized fairs and press coverage (e.g. the company was awarded by Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia for the innovation).

COBISS.SI-ID: 11314459The object of the invention is a system for pushing or retaining a train on the steep slopes of a railway line by using a haulage cable and an assist vehicle. Such systems already exist but are useful only for lower masses (e.g. short passenger trains). The patented solution was developed as a proposal to solve a problem of freight transport from the Port of Koper to Divača (Slovenia). This part of railway is a part of European railway network and it represents a bottleneck of the infrastructure. The first calculations indicated that the proposed solution could be implemented with only 60% of costs of alternative solutions. It would not degrade the Karst environment and it would also relieve the local community in the vicinity of the existing infrastructure (the existing infrastructure is highly overloaded (factor 10(!)), the local community is jeopardized by frequent fires due to sparks ignited by trains braking downhills). Press coverage of the solution has been very intensive (national and commercial TVs, various printed and internet media, foundation of various civil initiatives) since solving this infrastructural problem is of national interest.
