The members of the programme group are on the editorial boards of the journals Filozofski vestnik, Problemi and other journals: Research on Marxist Aesthetics (Nanjing, China), IDENTITIES. Journal for Politics, Gender and Culture (Skopje, FYROM), Serbian Architectural Journal (Beograd, Serbia), Debates y combates (Buenos Aires, Argentina), Politica Comun (Mexico City, Mexico). Alenka Zupančič Žerdin is co-editor of the “Short Circuits” series at MIT Press, editor of the Analecta series at the Society for Theoretical Psychoanalysis, Jelica Šumič Riha and Tomaž Mastnak are editors of the Philosophica series at the Publishing House of the Scientific Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts. The Analecta and Philosophica series publish works by Slovenian authors and translations of classical and contemporary philosophy.
C.04 Editorial board of an international magazine
All members of the project group lecture at the Graduate School of the Scientific Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts, in the Comparative Studies of Ideas and Cultures programme, philosophy module. Jelica Šumič Riha is head of the programme. In their lectures, they present the results of their own research work and discuss other philosophical currents and findings. Their research and pedagogical work are thus connected into a sensible whole.
D.10 Educational activities
Since 2009, Alenka Zupančič Žerdin has been a visiting professor at the prestigious European Graduate School based in Switzerland. The lecturers include some of the most distinguished theorists of our time, e.g. Giorgio Agamben, Alain Badiou, Jean Baudrillard, Judith Butler, Boris Groys, Manuel De Landa, and Jean-Luc Nancy. In 2015 she delivered a series of lectures on "Nietzsche and Lacan: A Fresh Perspective".
B.05 Guest lecturer at an institute/university
Marina Gržinić Mauhler is ordinary professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. In her lectures she brings art, contemporary theory, and practice into relation with biopolitics. Her special focus is on the forms of connections between biopolitics and the politics of representation, and on analysing the processes of becoming human in the practice of esthetic abstraction and artistic formalization in culture and theory. Gržinč Mauhler has contributed to the international embeddedness of the research programme and to improvements in educational activities.
B.05 Guest lecturer at an institute/university
Aside from numerous scientific publications, Tadej Troha and Tomaž Mastnak have also published regular monthly columns and other articles in the daily newspaper Dnevnik and other periodicals. They have thereby demonstrated that it is possible to combine philosophical arguments with particular social issues and to communicate complex ideas to the broader public.
