The Synonym Dictionary of the Slovenian Language is the first scholarly dictionary to provide overview of the synonymy of the Slovenian language. The dictionary in its concept and realization effectively combines both the role of a fundamental linguistic work and the role of a practical reference book, providing descriptive and consultative information on choice and evaluation of lexical units, while systematically drawing attention to the role of variety of expression.

The second volume of the Slovenian Linguistic Atlas (SLA 2) for the thematic field “farm” (SLA 2.1 Atlas and SLA 2.2 Commentaries) shows about 2300 lexemes as answers to 88 questions from the thematic field of ‘rural material and cultural heritage’, i.e. nouns and verbs that designate places and items in Slovenian farmhouses, outbuildings and farm work. The dialect material has been collected in 417 data-points within the borders of Slovenia and its neighbouring countries. The commentaries have an unified form, representing the dialect material, the morphological analysis of dialect lexemes, the specifics of mapping and pointers to the maps of related linguistic atlases. The novelty of SLA 2 is ethnological explanation of lexemes and their illustrations. SLA 2 contains 86 linguistic maps (lexical, word-formative and/or semantic maps) and indexes of mapped words as the result of linguistic analyses and geolinguistic presentations of this perticular part of the living cultural heritage. Both books (atlas and book of commentaires) are equipped with the lists (indexes) of places (data-points), writers (collectors) and years of the records (also on the maps), translations of 88 questions in eight foreign languages, a word index, and backward list (index) of dictionary entries, a list of linguistic and ethnological literature, a list of symbols and abbreviations, the summary in English language and the renewed map of Slovenian dialects.

The portal contains a scientific overview of all Slovenian grammars and normative guides from the beginnings until the present day. It describes various aspects of the structure, sociolinguistic role and the mutual influence among Slovenian grammars and normative guides. It shares the characteristics of a scientific monograph and a website which allows access to pdf files and electronic editions of Slovenian grammars and normative guides. 139 editions of Slovenian grammars and normative guides dating from 1584 until today in print or online format were studied and described. This is one of the largest national portals containing descriptions of grammars and normative guides in the world. Many descriptions from this portal were included into the international portal Corpus de Textes Linguistiques Fondamentaux (http://ctlf.ens-lyon.fr/).

Discussions in the monograph "Orthography at a cross-roads" address normative problems in Slovenian language practice. The reasons for them are mainly due to the loosening of the criteria of what constitutes Standard Language coupled with increased text production in the electronic era. 27 authors present the new guidelines and methodological innovations while dealing with problems of orthography.

The monograph provides a systematic representation of the scope and the distribution of Celtic (more precisely Gaulish) place-names in the South-Eastern Alpine region, more specifically in the region between the southern edge of the Eastern Alps and the Adriatic (more or less coinciding with the territory later occupied by what was to become contemporary Slovene). This puts the publication in line with a number of recent European monographs which scrutinise the eastern perimeters of the Gaulish settlement and try to establish the scope and nature of Gaulish linguistic imprint on the overlayered Namenlandschaften.
