As a guest in the broadcast "Podobe znanja" on ARS Radio Slovenia, in the half-hour interview and portrait with the editor Štefan Kutoš the author presented the findings from his research of the events during World War II in Slovenia, carried out in the last 25 years. The author emphasised that a clash of ideological-political interpretations (the so-called cultural struggle) still existed with regard to this issue. Instead of a competitive dialogue, leading to new realisations on the basis of the exchange of standpoints and opinions, what was most notable was the exclusion of and disregard for the findings that did not correspond to the viewpoints of either side and particularly the a-priori insistence on either side's "truths". These are often merely attempts to establish a new one-sided "truth", which is supposed to replace the previous one-sided "truth" from the period of communism.

COBISS.SI-ID: 3436660As a guest in the broadcast "Podobe znanja" on ARS Radio Slovenia, in the half-hour interview and portrait with the editor Štefan Kutoš the author presented his research, encompassing the analysis of the development of Slovenian political parties since their formation as modern political subjects at the end of the 19th century and until the beginning of World War II in Slovenia in 1941. The author brought the attention to the organisational, ideological, national-political and socio-economic characteristics of the structure of the Slovenian political space in the aforementioned period, characterised by a strict division into the Catholic, liberal, social democratic and later also the communist camp. According to the author's emphasis, this division encouraged the notable ideological-political dynamics of the time, which had a fatal influence on the developments in Slovenia during World War II.

COBISS.SI-ID: 3285108The textbook for the 9th grade of primary school follows the current curriculum. It starts by outlining the chapters from general history, followed by chapters from Slovenian history, and supplemented by three optional topics. The structure of the textbook has been overhauled to ensure a pleasant learning experience. Every topic is described on two pages containing the basic text, various sources, and the "repeat and consider" chapter, encouraging the pupils to make use of the acquired knowledge and sources in order to draw their own conclusions with regard to the topic under consideration. Aleš Gabrič wrote the chapters on the national history as well as certain general history sections, and therefore he is the author of the majority of the textbook.
