The Slovenian Science Centre – Hiša eksperimentov opened in January 2016 together with the Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering of the University of Ljubljana a new interactive “hands-on” exhibit called “The Silent Water Rushes Bridges”. The paper describes the initial design, execution and the practical use of this exhibit that will be at hand to visitors of the centre. Into more detail, the theoretical background of some of river processes are described that can be observed when using the exhibit. It can be seen within the education and science promotion framework as well as a tool to raise public awareness of culture of common living with nature and natural disasters.
