International conference dealt with the crisis of constitutional democracy in Central Europe and attempted to give solutions to it.
B.01 Organiser of a scientific meeting
Marko Novak has been a member of the Council for the Judiciary of the Republic of Slovenia since 2012, while in 2016 he was appointed its President. The Slovene Council for the Judiciary mailnly deals with staffing Slovenian courts and certain systemic issues concerning the position of judiciary in Slovene society. Since the main topic of this project is improving the systemic conditions for Slovenia to become a better democratic and rule-of-law state, in which the judiciary plays a pivotal role, such additional social and economic role of this reseracher brings important synergic effects to the project.

At this Academic forum, the three researchers and professors of law presented some solutions to the crisis of the rule of law in Slovenia. Academic Forum was held on 17 November 2016 at the Graduate School of Government and European Studies and the European Faculty of Law in Ljubljana Guests: Andraz Teršek, Jernej Letnar Černič and Matej Avbelj.
