The published results of fundamental research on biotesting plants (Krajnčič, Nemec, 2003) are used for the applicative research in the vineyards managed by the Faculty of Agriculture with the aim to increase both the quantity as well as the quality of yield. By using EDDHA, GA3 , and EDDHA chelates we increased the number of floral premordia, sugar content in grapes and the resistance of grapes against fungal and bacterial infections. This leads to the reduction of fungicide application and also to the production of high quality wine. The results of our research programme represent international affirmation of Slovenian science in the field of plant physiology and also viticulture. Their application also leads to high quality wine production and helps to promote Slovenia. - New fundamental knowledge will be applied to the development of diagnostic methods in vitro in Slovenia, EU and worldwide. In a such way, value of Slovenian researchers and institutions in EU and world market will increase, which is extremelly important to obtain research funds from different sources. - Application of fundamental knowledge into the biotech and other industry that will increase possibilities of Slovenian industry. - Implementation of HACCP system in laundries to increase the level of health protection and dissemination of the principles worldwide. Hybrids of cucurbits and phaseolus beans, which are composed of several species, are new in science, and represent the most radical way of changing the genomic structure of the cultivated plants. The offspring generations are genetically highly variable. This variation will be used for the improvement of the resistance against diseases and pests, and tolerance to unfavourable environmental conditions. Our researche contributc to the reduction of environmental polution. By developing an ecologically beneficial oil we have ensured the preservation of ecologically uncontaminated landscape. We have to preserve clean and uncontaminated environment where the use of such driving and tribologycal media which do not contaminate and polute the cultivated areas is very important. Regarding the great importance of poultry production (yearly 56.000 tons of poultry meat), the introduction of active immunisation in the prophylaxis of coccidiosis would mean a great improvement and health protection of people.
