The development and introduction of contemporary immunological and molecular methods in viral disease diagnosis will contribute in better and more accurate diagnosis of economically important diseases. This will contribute to better monitoring system and epidemiological studies in future and prevention of introduction diseases from other countries. Viral diagnosis shall be exploit in further research and applied work. The knowledge of bee diseases and effects of environmental influences shall contribute in reduction of economic threshold in beekeeping. The results of this programme will be incorporated in preparing the organic beekeeping projects. Diagnostic methods and different control actions in honeybee colonies shall be more effective and economic losses is supposed to be reduced. The studies of bacteria Helicobacter in dogs in Slovenia showed the level of infection. The localisation of bacteria in the dog digestive system and morphological characteristics were important results for prevention in the field. Furthermore a new medium for Helicobacter isolation was established. Accurate and continuing diagnosis for fish viral diseases is important for prevention of outbreaks. Mycoplasma gallisepticum was detected in wild animals and the animal proteins were analysed in the bear food chain. Haematological and biochemical parameters were established in the blood of Dama dama. The studies of fish diseases widespread was conducted in Slovenia during the research programme.
