Biography
Otorhinolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery specialist at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology and Cervicofacial Surgery, UMC Ljubljana, Slovenia. Teacher of Otorhinolaryngology in the Faculty of Medicine, Ljubljana, Slovenia, teaching students of medicine and dental medicine otorhinolaryngology, head and neck surgery. Practising mainly endoscopic sinonasal surgery, skull-base surgery, facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. Learned sinonasal and skull-base surgery in renowned reference centres, including Brescia, Italy and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Certified rhinoplasty surgeon by the European College of Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery. A regular member of the European Skull Base Society, European Rhinologic Society and American Rhinologic Society. Expert in platelet-rich plasma (PRP)-based therapies. Research interests involve skull-base pathology, autologous regenerative treatment modalities, disease-related quality of life, hearing loss, vertigo, taste pathology, chronic rhinosinusitis, biomarkers in head and neck cancer, extracellular vesicles and multidisciplinary collaboration.
