I am a full professor at the School of Economics and Business, University of Ljubljana, working at the intersection of digital transformation, business models, supply chain management, business process management, and technology adoption. My research has been published in journals such as Decision Support Systems, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, International Journal of Information Management, International Journal of Production Economics, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Strategic Information Systems, Long Range Planning, and Supply Chain Management. My work has been cited over 12,000 times (h-index 41); five of my papers on business analytics, BPM, business models, and supply chain risk are among the top 1% most cited in Scopus. I regularly act as a reviewer for 45 (S)SCI-indexed journals and as a panel member, lead reviewer, or reviewer for ten European research funding agencies, where I have evaluated more than 400 project proposals in business, management, IT, and industry–university collaboration. I have received several research awards and, as principal investigator, secured over €1 million in research funding. I teach and run workshops in Europe, Asia, and Latin America, including visiting professorships in India, South Korea, Denmark, China, Dubai, Austria, Germany, Peru, and Colombia. In executive education and consulting, I focus on tailor-made programs rather than generic “off-the-shelf” solutions; recently this has included a series of workshops on generative AI for managers. In the classroom, I try to connect rigorous theory with concrete cases and keep students actively involved.
