Archaeological excavation I was the site manager or assistant site manager at eight archaeological excavations. At the largest excavation site I was in charge of, up to 70 excavators were working at the same time, and the most recent international excavation is ongoing. Organisation of scientific conferences I have organised or co-organised several conferences and workshops, most notably the biennial conference TRAIL, which has been held since 2011 and is the largest scientific event in the world devoted exclusively to archaeological LiDAR (see trail.zrc-sazu.si). Management training I attended the 60-hour Neurolinguistic Programming for Managers course in 2008. Soft skills Through my professional experience and training I have acquired the following relevant skills: Time management, optimism, creativity, interpersonal communication, attention to detail, critical thinking, decisiveness, patience and self-motivation. Ability to encourage young researchers to engage in top-quality research I have always encouraged young researchers to participate in cutting-edge research in an unofficial capacity and as university teacher. Awards and accomplishments 2021 "Odlični v znanosti" (Excellence in Science) award by Slovenian Research Agency. 2014 CENDARI TNA Research Fellow for digital humanities at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. 2008 Researchers Exchange Program Award, British Council. 2012 First author of an article that is the most cited article with Slovenian archaeologist (i.e., noted in the SICRIS) as the first/only author and top 4% most cited articles from the subfield archaeological LiDAR worldwide. 2005 Best young researcher award by Znanstvenoraziskovalni center Slovenske akademije znanosti in umetnosti. Organizational skills of the project leader to lead large projects My organisational competences and leadership skills to lead large projects are demonstrated by leading several international and national projects and by co-organizing several scientific conferences (see above).
