Povzetek
The idea behind the project is to prevent situations of prejudice and self-discrimination among low skilled second-generations immigrants (adults with immigrant parents), when they are looking for a job.For this reason, the project’s objectives and outputs will be:- a 20 hours training course based on intercultural competences and on autobiographical narratives and video interviews to improve the quality of adult education of 200 teachers/trainers whose learners are second-generation immigrants (SGM). The material of the course, created by all partners, is based on a quantitative and qualitative analysis (140 in-depth interviews) about SGM and on autobiographical approaches (7 national reports from each partner; 1 comparative analysis about all partners) and on existing best practices. - a 16 hours pilot training course for 105 SGM with 3 before trained adult education teachers and trainers in the four partners’ adult education organisations: AT, NL, SE, DE. The autobiographical narratives will support self-esteem and improve SGM's communication skills when conducting a job interview. They will represent a "bridge" between different cultures and a path towards social inclusion. In order to foster cooperation between the consortium, exploit and disseminate the results, the project will produce:- a virtual workplace and 5 meetings- a multilingual website and leaflets about the projects- a multilingual practical training guide - a report handbook - a cd-rom: policy recommendations on quality adult education for SGM - partners’ participation at national/international conferences- an international conference Finally, to enhance high quality process/outputs the project will elaborate an internal and external quality evaluation management reports. The project will impact on: - 200 adult educators- 105 second-generation immigrants - other actors during and after the project life time through dissemination tools: other teachers, social partner, employers.
