Abstract
Measurement of position and angular velocity is applied in moving control systems in areas of robotics, mechatronics, precise production processes. Pseudorandom encoders today present a good alternative to classical and they are competitive in encoder market thanks to their simplicity, functionality and characteristics. Exactly this is the reason for subject of the project research which includes analysis, development and improving of the existing methods for measurement of position and angular velocity using pseudorandom encoders. It is important to mention that there already exist significant experiences and worldwide respected scientific results of engaged researchers. New type of highly confidential position encoders with possibility for detection of errors will be developed on the basis of two most recent results published in the leading international journals, and concrete realization will be performed within production facility of EI OPEK. In order to provide optimal solution of pseudorandom encoder on the experimentation basis, an appropriate method for pseudorandom code reading and a method for conversion of pseudorandom to natural code will be selected. The problem of zero position adjustment at mounting of developed encoder should be solved, as well as the problem of external interface encoder. Also a virtual instrument for measurement of position and angular velocity will be designed, based on the developed encoder, modular hardware, LabVIEW and computer.
