Abstract
As a consequence of electricity supply industry restructuring and electricity market liberalization, the engineers in thermo power plants (TPP) are faced with the growing processes complexity and increased data quantities. Having in mind the possibilities of domestic TPP, in this project, the operation performances of thermal units in unit efficiency domain, as well as in exploitation effectiveness, considering reliability and availability, are going to be explored. The control, information and application aspects related to tracking and support to increase the unit thermal efficiency, as well as same aspects related to tracking and increasing of unit availability/reliability, will be in focus. Based on conducted analysis, the new applications, supported by TPP process data warehouse realized in previous 2-year project, are going to be defined. As a final result of this project, it is expected the new technical information system (TIS-TPP), whose applications are supported by the already existing TPP data warehouse and are focused on, both, energy efficiency tracking and increasing and operation effectiveness monitoring and improvement. These applications, from the energy efficiency segment, are going to enable the whole thermo-block unit efficiency on-line calculation, for every TPP block, based on real operational data. From the operation effectiveness segment, the applications are going to enable tracking and early diagnostics of a power plant equipment state.
