Abstract
The aim of the research is regulatory rules and promotion of energy efficient electric drives (EEED) mostly present in contemporary industry. We shall investigate the programmes and procedures that have been applied in the world and EU countries, legislation and estimation of electrical energy savings in Serbia through the utilization of similar programmes. Harmonization of the required standards – primarily for pump systems as the greatest consumers of the electrical energy in industry – will be performed in order to provide the legal basis for the suggested programmes. With the aim of saving electrical energy, the following issues will be investigated and evaluated: performances of some pump types, choosing criteria according to the place of application, strategy for flow and pressure control, factors necessary for choosing methods for flow control, procedures for efficiency measurement. In order to achieve an efficient implementation of the programme and measures, required conditions for the application of EEED policy will be defined, the programmes for the EEED procedures and measures promotion will be developed, as well as the programmes for enabling the application of this concept. The final part of the project will be the design of laboratories for the control of energy efficiency of electric motors, as well as the completion of a laboratory, at TF Čačak, for the control of energy efficiency of asynchronous motors that are used in heating systems.
