The development of new and improvement of existing technological procedures for the production of technical textile materials

The aim of this project is to enable and step up the transition from conventional textile technologies to the production of highly profitable technical textiles. Recycled textile raw materials in the production of nonwoven textile materials for technical application enable resource utilization and reducing of environment pollution. Defining amounts of textile wastes, organization of collecting and classification, optimization of recycling procedures, application of these fibers in products intended for civil engineering, furniture industry, and automotive industry will be elaborated. The procedures for fire-retardant and anti microbial textiles will be elaborated. The existing processes of woven and knitted structures will be promoted and new processes for the production of geotextiles for road building, railway, soil strengthening, drainage, hillside stabilization, soil erosion control, embankments, channels, landfills for solid and liquid waste will be developed. Separation, protection and reinforcement, filtration and drainage are characteristics that will be quantified during research, enabling elaboration of methods for projecting technical textile characteristics. By improving texturing processes on existing equipment, production of textured yarns intended for woven and knitted technical textiles for automotive seats will be enabled and improving the wrapping process, the projecting and production of wrapped elastomeric yarns for medical use will be enabled.
