Abstract
The research object comprises investigation of possibilities for incorporation of modern nano-structured materials in personal radiological, chemical and biological (RCB) respiratory and percutaneous protective equipment. It is assumed that comparative investigation of protective and physiological features of activated charcoal materials (incorporated in domestic protective mask filter and in inner layer of protective clothing) and nanocomposite materials with self-decontaminating properties (which represent world trend in textile industry) will result with solutions of optimal combination of unprecedented characteristics for NBC protection. After proper selection of adequate material, the functional model of NBC protective suit and protective mask combined filter based on nanocomposite materials will be constructed and manufactured. Also the functional model of half-mask for wide civilian protection in case of epidemics and pandemics will be designed and manufactured. The last phase of investigation comprises testing of functional and physiological features of above mentioned functional models of personal protective equipment on volunteers.
