Abstract
roject’s main goal is development of new soybean varieties with increased genetic yield potential, satisfactory level of adaptability and yield stability, and more favourable chemical composition of grain, appropriate for technological processing. Traditional breeding methods utilized in soybean breeding program at Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops, Novi Sad would be combined with biochemical and molecular techniques so as to develop new, high-yielding varieties with improved grain quality. In addition to new varieties (M92) the project would include four PhD theses (M71). More than forty original research articles in leading national journals (M51), other national journals (M52), and international journals (M20) are expected to be published within the project. The results of the research would be presented at international scientific events (M34) and national scientific events (M64). Additionally, a monograph is expected to be published (M42).
