Abstract
The EU is making the Danube strategy what is an opportunity for the development of infrastructure and economy of the region. Therefore Serbia should take a share in the logistic support to the Danube region. Previous research provided the ground for the construction of container terminals and container cranes. This research aims to upgrade the previous research projects to define the information systems and IT applications from the mechanical level to the level of management and connection of ports on the Danube in an EU integrated logistics system. Continuous monitoring of machines and state considers permanent monitoring and acquisition of relevant parameters of power units and the machines in whole, providing data management, predictive maintenance, implementation of corrective measures, safety functions, performance, communication with the superior levels, reception of tasks and confirmation of the tasks performed. The level of management comprehends port operations, planning of business cycles, monitoring of performance, finances and information systems harmonized with the EU environment, for the purpose of direct communication between logistic centers in the field of information flow that are important for monitoring material flows. The proposed project explores the possibilities and sets the system in the case of the selected port.
