Abstract
Optimization of supply chains management has been the subject of intensive research in recent years, because increasing the efficiency of the supply process allows considerable savings in the cost of logistics. According to available data, the savings achieved by the application of research results in supply chains are moving in the range of 8 to 30% of the total logistics costs prior to their implementation. Because of this, the subject of research in this project includes optimization of supply and distribution chains in the logistic centers, which includes the systematic analysis of a wide range of logistical problems, directly or indirectly related to the implementation of those chains. The subject of this research can be described by using the following activities: •Development of simulation models of logistics enterprise system •Formulation, development of model, and solving the location-allocation problems in the supply chains •Development and implementation of rational storage technologies •Development and application of rational transport technologies in the supply chain optimization •Development of optimal strategies and models of inventory management in supply and distribution chains •Development and application of rational distribution technologies and optimization of the distribution chains. The expected results of the project are reflected in the increase of flows efficiency, and manifested through the anticipated savings in logistics costs of 7.4%.
