Abstract
Fast development of semiconductor technology offers a cheap and efficient electronic component, which can implement very complex algorithms and consumer devices such as mobile phones, handheld electronic devices or TV sets. Digitization of all energetic providers through information systems to the medicine, enabling their interoperability and networking, offering completely new solutions in information and entertainment systems, automation processes, energetic efficiency and rational use of availed resources. The realization of these potentials initiated a worldwide research programs in the field of embedded systems: (i) development of new services in digital television, the new generation of mobile phones, automation of home processes as well as a medical manufacturing and diagnostics integrated into consumer devices networked through the Internet, (ii) methodology and software development tools for multi-processor and computer distributed systems; (iii) development of networking technologies and methods of digital systems using the Internet; (iv) development of new methods and prototypes of system elements for wireless transmission of digital contents and (v) development of new protection models and prototypes of knowledge in this highly dynamic economic area. It is also noticeable trend where the main development carriers were SMEs due to theirs exceptional development speed and interpretability between absolutely different fields of classic economics.
