Abstract
The main project goal is the structuring of materials that act as the building blocks of polymer nanocomposites as well as polymers that act as matrix for special application materials (coating, films, elastomers, medical devices, dentistry, civil engineering, printing technology). The first objective is to develop fundamental knowledge in order to be able to elaborate processable hybrid materials. Investigations will be focused on synthesis methods for different polymer matrix types and hybrid materials preparation. Different processing techniques will be used: classical preparation of nanoparticle filled polymers or in situ polymerisation on fillers or nanometer-scaled functional units. Polymeric materials will be synthesized from precursors differing in structure, topology and functionality of reactive groups. Some types of hybrid organic–inorganic nanocomposites will be fabricated using renewable resources. The evaluation of the reinforcing effect of nanofiller used for elastomers preparation will be the determination of dynamic mechanical properties. The second goal will be the synthesis of new organic compounds and polymers, which will be used as the basis for electrochemical processes, the new ion-selective electrodes on the carbon glassy and platinum and the development of new analytical methods which are sensitive, selective and fast for concentration of toxic metals determination.
